Ran in my new New Balance MT100s. This is the only time I've worn them so I can't say much more than they are excellent for hill sprints. They're super light with awesome fore-foot and mid-foot traction even on the hard pack covered with gravel shit I typically run on.

-Kept the side-bends light, I wanted to get some blood in the funky feeling area of my back.
-Anyways, decent PR, last two reps were slow and more back rounding that I'd like.

-Got 8 reps with 185 but the 8th rep was just stupid. Put myself in a really dangerous position just trying to get the bar to the rack, so I'm DQ'ing myself. Lessons to take home: 1)Push it but don't push it without a spotter 2)Focus on staying tight 3)Make sure feet are planted and pushing in to the floor.
-Attempted some Kroc rows. It appears from vids that you're supposed to rest between left and right. This makes sense because I didn't, and was too gassed to get 30 reps with my right arm.
-Neck so pumped I feel like a bobble head.

-Got some rest and got a good bench. A few of the reps didn't have a satisfactory pause, but good enough. Ass was in constant contact with the bench.
-DB bench was taken just about to the max. Last set of rows were done with the thick handle and close to the max for grip endurance.
-Chins were really hard after the rows.
-Good showing overall.

-Presses suck actually did less than a previous PR. The only excuses I can make is that I didn't sleep enough last night and Deads or Squats the day before seem to take a toll on upper bodywork the next day. Last PR for presses came 3 days after squats.
-Up the dips and chins 10 reps a piece.
-Stick with the same for neck raises.
-I'm toying with the idea of setting the timer for 50min on press and bench day and working against the clock to bang out as many reps as possible. Time really isn't an issue right now though.

-I hate a smelly snatch! Just was not getting under it nicely today. Going to do HCs on Dead and Press day then HSns on Squat and Bench day - Progressive on upper body days and straight sets with top weights on lower body days.
-Wasn't very focussed on last set of squats - form was pretty good though and got what I wanted.
-135 for 5x10 should be no issue.
-HLRs were done with bent elbows - this seems to be much easier on the shoulders - cleaned up with straight leg sit-ups.
-Foam and ball roll upper right glute - had a little pain there.
-Nice first cycle - I'm liking the 5/3/1 stuff

-Experiment with out alternating sets next time - see if it speeds things up or slows them down.

-HLRs still need work stick with 3x5 and fill in the total reps with another exercise like today. The last set of 20 with the ab wheel was pretty hard. HLRs seem to be f'n with my shoulders.
-Taking tomorrow off - restorative type stuff.

-Workout was pretty long but good.
-Cleans were pretty solid.
-Deads were good. Not the best of form on the last several reps and my grip started to go. Remember to chalk up next time as the hands be sweaty and keep the bar closer to the body. Read up on Deadlift cues.
-Step-ups suck in a good way go to 5 sets of 8 next.
-Still not good at HLRs - go to 45 total reps.

-Deads were good go up 10lbs across
-FSQs without the rack are interesting - unracking it to the ground is fun.
-65 was light for curls but it got hard on the 3rd set try 70 next time. Dips were easy.
-16kg is too light for side-bends try 55lbs or 24kg next.
-The core of the workout (Deads/FSQ) took just under a half hour without much of a warm up. Overall time was 42min.

-Start with 165 for PPs. Need to break the habit of dipping under it. Took about 16min to work through this including set-up.
-225 for working weight with squats - Messing with a higher bar position. 225 was less than perfect - GMing a little and knees wanted to drift inward. Stick with it until nailing it. 13min and an additional 7 breaking the stands down.
-Didn't feel like I could make six on the last set of chins go for it next time. 6min.
-Overall time 1:02

- Didn't like this circuit at all. KB snatches are just wrong for circuits, will try DB snatches at some point, but I won't be combining them with swings. Something like swings or double swings with burpees, pull-ups, and maybe lunges would be cool. I need to get some lunges or split jumps in here somewhere.
-Side planks went like this - push-up, 30sec plank, push-up, 30sec plank, no rest. Do 45sec next time.

Weights n stuff

Going with something new here. Gant Gimes crossed with MEBB. Ideally, some sort of circuit conditioning day 1, day 2 weights, day 3 interval stuff, day 4 off. Weight training will be some sort of quick lift for 5-8 sets of 1-3 reps, followed by a ME sort of lift for 5 x 3 or 3 x 3 (progressive loading every few tries), then some sort of random assistance. Going to try to take volume down 50% every 4 weeks or after 3x through the lifts then start back where I left off. After another 4 weeks change some exercises if stalled.

-Need to warm up better. I had some pain in my right shoulder tendon going in to my humerus. See here.

-Nice work on the Dips. Seems a lot stronger than a year ago.
-Fucked up the circuit. Ideas for progression do 30, 15, 15, 15sec, then 45, 30, 15, 15 - etc. Base on rep range.

-Noticeable improvement on this version of ICT 2 over the last time. Either I'm really on today or was too conservative with jumping and slamming. I didn't have to pause on the burpees at all; however, I still wasn't in the mood for a fourth round. Go for it next time.
-Side-bends were nice, good for the grip too. Good weight and reps - repeat before going to 12.

-Need to get neck and ab work in the rotation.

hung from the chin-up bar a bit

-a little forward lean on squats, speed was ok and depth was good.
-180 was a bit slow, form could be better i.e. scapula pinched, bend the bar and ass barely touching the bench.
-160 was ok on the rows, not explosive
-curls were easy abs were hard. go to 3 x 10 for curls and 3 sets for ab circuit.
-no issues with the upper right glute today.

Later: bike ride to the liquor store and back, half hour or so. about 5min down hill 5min at the store then 20 getting back. 3.77 miles 414"

ICT 3

Attempted a deck of cards workout from NG with burpees on red cards and push-ups on black. Cut myself off at the half hour marker with 136 burpees and 131 push-ups. Push-ups, although not strict, were the limiting factor here. Finished with neck isos.

Next time try burpess on red then push-ups on spades and lunges on clubs.

-310 was hard. ill need to do some research on form and pay attention to how much my back is rounding.
